My name is Amanda Schaefer and welcome to Back to Blush, I'm so glad you're here! ​
​
In addition to being a birth and postpartum doula- I am a wife to my middle school sweetheart, a mama of two littles (4 and 1), and an elementary school teacher. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, reading a good book on the beach, and wandering down the aisles of Target. ​
I received my birth & postpartum doula certification through DONA International. I have also completed the Lactation Basics Certification to assist mom throughout her breast feeding journey. Certifications & clearances are available upon request. ​​​

Having had two difficult (life changing) postpartum experiences, I sparked a love and passion to help moms navigate the early days of motherhood. I am so passionate about pregnancy and postpartum care and dedicated to nurturing both mama and baby during the transformative first 12 weeks of life. As a mama myself, I understand the beauty and challenges of the postpartum journey. I aim to provide support, guidance, and a listening ear to help families during this precious time.

I believe that every new mama deserves to feel empowered, supported, and confident as she navigates birth and the early days with her baby. My approach is rooted in compassion and practical assistance, whether it’s assisting you with an informed birth plan that empowers you or breastfeeding, offering infant care, or simply providing a comforting presence.
